    Testing modules

    Employing variable testing modules, the APAS inspector can be used e.g. to test matt or glossy surfaces, or for completeness, microfracture or dimension testing. The interchangeable modules allow the assistant to quickly and easily switch tasks.

     

    3D imaging

    Thanks to our years of experience in image processing, our advanced 3D imaging methods deliver dependable, high-precision testing results, even in inclement production environments.

     

    Parts feeding

    One or optionally two independent parts carriers are manually or automatically loaded with components for testing, and transported to one or more photographing positions via the flexible planar stage.

     

    User Interface

    The APAS inspector can be intuitively operated by means of a mobile touchpad.

  • Range of application

    Deflectometry

    Suitable for the automatic recognition and inspection of reflective surfaces. With this technique, even minor flaws like blemishes, deformations and scratches can be detected. Cylindrical forms can also be scanned.

    Photometric stereo

    Suitable for the automatic recognition and inspection of matt surfaces. In addition to minor flaws like blemishes, deformations and scratches, even microfractures in ceramic components can be reliably detected.

     

    Spectroscopy

    Suitable for robust color testing. The testing module measures the color spectrum at each point, allowing it to reliably differentiate between different colors.

    Interferometry

    Suitable for the high-precision measurement of surfaces. By measuring surface heights at the nanometer scale, this technique can not only detect flaws, but also measure surface coarseness and smoothness.

  • Features

    Learning image processing

    Learning image processing allows the operator to continually improve the APAS inspector’s imaging parameters or adapt them to changing conditions, without the need for extensive expertise. The number of categories and characteristics the learning image processing system uses to differentiate between the samples can be individually tailored to each testing task, and can be subsequently modified as needed. The result: parameters can be automatically optimized, further enhancing the APAS inspector’s testing quality.

    As a mobile solution, the APAS inspector can be used flexibly and in a location-independent manner during production. Permanent workplace alignment is not required.
